MAN DOWN, a film starring Shia Labeouf, written by Adam G. Simon and directed by Dito Montiel, raises awareness to PTSD and the countless veterans and homeless veterans that suffer with this terrible illness.
PTSD also known as post traumatic stress disorder is continuing to rise at an alarming rate. According to the Wounded Warrior Project, so far over 540,000 veterans have been diagnosed and counting. It is also said, about 6 of every 10 men (or 60%) and 5 of every 10 women (or 50%) experience at least one trauma in their lives. PTSD is a mental illness that can effect anyone.
