This one really touches my heart because I am such an animal lover. After stepping down as host of “The Daily Show,” Jon Stewart and his wife Tracey started a sanctuary for abused factory farm animals called Bufflehead Farm. Celebrities gather for World Poker Tournament charity to raise money for kids

For another DSTT Spotlight story we wanted to focus on an organization that is worldwide. Mending Kids, founded by Cris Embleton in the mid 80’s when her adopted daughter passed away just prior to her first birthday, a $5 medicine would’ve saved her life. Martina McBride is on her Love Unleashed tour and feeding people at the same time. How fantastic is this! Statistically one in three bites of food you put into your mouth today is the result of the hard working honeybee? Morgan Freeman’s concern about the bees led him to convert his 124 acre Mississippi ranch into a bee sanctuary.
